Summary Description of your Organization

The Civil Society Movement Against Tuberculosis Sierra Leone (CISMAT-SL) is an independent nonprofit making organization, and network of TB communities including Civil Society Organizations founded in 2009, and registered as a National Non-governmental Organization (NGO) in 2010. The foundation of CISMAT-SL was inspired by former TB patients to undertake innovative tasks to improve health care system and access to TB services.

As the leading network and NGO on Tuberculosis (TB), the Organizations works in different context with the aim to advocate and amplify voices of TB patients and TB/HIV patients on human rights and protection related issues, and empower them to access better health services.

The Organization comprised of 18 independent national and regional organizations present across the 16 districts of Sierra Leone. The Organization works directly with TB patients through its 18 memberships, as these members’ works on range of issues including Community Based Monitoring, human rights, gender, health care and health system strengthening.

The Title of the project we are implementing is "Strengthening Support to Communities towards Elimination of Malaria, TB and HIV/AIDS in Sierra Leone- NFM3 SLE-Z-CRS in Sierra Leone. The scope of the project covers all Districts of Sierra Leone and is running from 2021 July to 2024 June.
