Community Health Alliance Uganda

Community Health Alliance Uganda (CHAU) is a registered national organization in Uganda and the Linking Organization of the International HIV/AIDS Alliance, UK (IHAA). The International HIV/AIDS Alliance, is a global 40 member family. The International HIV/AIDS Alliance Uganda, IHAA country office, started operating in Uganda in 2005. When International HIV/AIDS Alliance Uganda transitioned into a national organization in Uganda, it was re-branded as Community Health Alliance Uganda in 2013. It then became a linking organization affiliated to the International HIV/AIDS Alliance, UK. CHAU’s portfolio of work includes technical and organizational capacity building of Civil Society Organizations that implement HIV, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights; Maternal, Newborn and Child Health related programs. CHAU also engages in policy advocacy, and community systems strengthening CHAU has an established track record of contributing to national efforts in HIV and Sexual and Reproductive Health response amongst children, adolescents, young people, youths as well as vulnerable and key populations.
