Empower Youth Prosperity –EYP is a Mbeya based Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) which aims at raising awareness of the entire community on how to protect, preserve and uphold youth’s rights. EYP was registered on 09 April 2020 under the NGOs Act, no. 24 of 2002 as amended in 2019 with registration Number ooNGO/R/1030.

The overall aim of EYP is to enable Youth to develop their capacity in terms of capital development and necessary knowledge, skills utilization of available resources for socio economic development.

EYP implements an integrated community development project focusing on health care delivery, facilitate provision of quality education services and sustainable protection of the natural environment and local capacity development. EYP targeted to provide these services to women, youth and children. The organization support facilitation of access to these services so as to have the community with capacity to access, own resources, governance and human rights.

The community especially youth has been facing with many obstacles that hinders their sustainable development. These includes existence of bad customs and traditions which discriminate women, Unemployment for youths, Early pregnancies for girls, poor health, ignorance of women on their rights, inadequate health services especially for pregnant women and extreme poverty. Such development challenges had forced the Government and other development stakeholders to try number of initiatives to address them. Therefore, EYP members decided to form this Foundation so as to raise awareness of the entire community on how to protect, preserve and
uphold women’s and youth’s rights but also develop their capacity to socio economic problems among themselves.
