Project Title: Empowering Youth for Health: Comprehensive Education and Support on HIV, TB, and Sexual and Reproductive Health
Scope of the Project: The project aims to provide comprehensive health education and support to adolescents and young people in Choma and Namwala, Zambia. It will focus on the following key areas:
1. HIV Prevention and Awareness:
Conducting awareness campaigns to promote HIV testing and treatment.
Providing information about prevention methods, including ARVs, PEP, and PrEP.
2. Tuberculosis (TB) Awareness:
Educating youth about TB, its symptoms, and the importance of early detection and treatment.
3. Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH):
Offering education on SRH rights and services.
Addressing issues related to safe sex practices, consent, and reproductive health.
4. Stigma Reduction:
Implementing activities to reduce stigma associated with HIV and TB, particularly among young people.
Engaging communities to foster a supportive environment for individuals living with these conditions.
5. Menstrual Hygiene Management:
Promoting menstrual hygiene education and resources for young women and girls to ensure their health and dignity.
Time Frame: The project will be implemented over a period of 10 years , starting from October 2023 to March 2033. During this time, EYNS will conduct outreach programs, training sessions, and community engagement activities to achieve the project's objectives and improve the health and well-being of adolescents and young people in the target areas.
