It is located in Jos, the Plateau State, Nigeria. MISSION STATEMENT: REHCON exists to promote and provide quality non judgmental sexuality education, reproductive health, general health, and holistic development services to adolescents, youths, women, couples and communities through research, advocacy, capacity building, training, counseling, empowerment, care and support. GOAL: To contribute to the quality of sexuality, reproductive health, family relationships, general health and holistic development of Nigerians. AIMS AND OBJECTIVES The aims and objectives of this ORGANISATION shall be: 1. To improve reproductive and sexuality health status of persons of reproductive age by reducing the incidence and prevalence of Reproductive Health (RH) issues including HIV/AIDS, STI’s, teenage & unwanted pregnancies, abortion, early marriage, delinquency, sexual abuse and drug abuse 2. To enhance the general health situation of children, adolescents, youths, women, and communities by reducing the incidence and prevalence of communicable diseases including Tuberculosis and Malaria. 3. To strengthen marital and family relationships. 4. To reduce unemployment and poverty among youths, women and couples. 5. To promote gender equity and reduce gender issues. 6. Though not part of the management, REHCON members who are mostly Professionals (adults and youths) render various services as volunteer consultants, and resource persons to the organization. REH-CON membership is open to the following categories: - Technical Team: consultants and Resource Persons for the different Projects or Themes - Adolescent and Youths members: - Organizations/members of community-based Reproductive Health Clubs - Corporate membership: Corporate organizations and bodies with similar objectives. - Membership is by application. CAPACITY OF REH-CON •Geographical Spread – REHCON is spread across twelve (12) LGAs in Plateau State. They are: B/Ladi, Jos North, Jos South, Jos East, Langtang North, Mangu, Bassa, Kanam, Pankshin, Wase, Riyom, Quan Pan Local Government Areas. REHCON has an Annex /Desk office in Nassarawa State. •Infrastructure – REH-CON has a rugged office accommodation & furniture, There is security outfit, a training hall, Male &Female Conveniences, and a parking space in the fenced office complex. It has the following equipment: A desk stop, Laptop, Printer & accessories, Photocopier, Generator, 2 Flip Chart Stands, 2 sets of A mega phone with 2 micro phones, TV and Video and 5 cold-chain storage devices. •Human Resource – REHCON has 10 full & part time staff and 3 Volunteers. They range from Executive Director, Programme Officer, Accountant, Project Officer/Desk Officer, M&E Officer, and Mobilization Officer, ICT Officer, among others.
