To be a leader in the promotion of health, well-being, and equity for all adolescents and young adults in Kenya.
Summary Description of your Organization
Straight Talk Foundation Kenya (STFK) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) that endeavours to bring about social change through advocacy and behavior change communication, which will result in increased quality of lives and well-being for adolescents and important people in their lives.
We produce information, education, and communication (IEC) materials for adolescents. Part of the organization’s mandate is to keep its target audience (Kenyan adolescents, aged 10-19, and youths, aged 20-24) updated as far as health, livelihood, and governance issues are concerned and are able to make informed decisions about which will ultimately impact positively on the life they lead.
We aim to address most of the challenges affecting the youth while providing a forum for them to interact and discuss these challenges as peers through meaningful youth participation, youth-adult partnership, and consultative stakeholder approach to the issues that are a priority to young people.
The strategies we deploy in implementing our communication include Publications, Social Media, Consultative stakeholder interventions, Multimedia Approaches, Partnerships with champions and volunteers, and network with policymakers and government officials.
