Support for Peace and Education Development Program (SPEDP)

Support for Peace and Education Development Programm (SPEDP) is a national non-government organisation founded in 2007. The organization was registered by the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs on May 25, 2009 under Registration. No. 456. It was also registered by SSRRC in April 2011 under Registration No. 114. SPEDP is also registered in Uganda by the Ministry of Internal Affairs on September 30, 2016 under Registration No. 0146. It is serving South Sudanese refugees in Uganda. SPEDP has a presence in eight States of South Sudan, including Central Equatoria (Juba, Kajokeji, Yei, Morobo, Lainya, and Terekeka Counties); Eastern Equatoria (Magwi and Torit Counties); Western Equatoria (Mvolo, Mundri West, Mundri East and Yambio Counties); Northern Bahr-el-Ghazal (Aweil North, Aweil West and Aweil Centre Counties); Western Bahr-el-Ghazal (Wau, Raja and Jur River County), Unity (Koch, Mayendit, Leer, Panjier, Rubkhona, Pariang, Guit, and Mayom Counties); Upper Nile (Melut, Renk, Akoka, Manyo, and Fashoda Counties); and Jonglei (Old Fangak and Pigi Counties). SPEDP has reached over 500,000 households (returnees, Internally displaced people and host communities) in South Sudan through its (1) Resilience Building; (2) Humanitarian Response; (3) Health and Nutrition; and (4) Research and Innovation. SPEDP has well set organizational structure and adequate number of policies with professional and experienced staff in the above-mentioned thematic areas of SPEDP.
