The Youth Empowerment Foundation envisions a fully democratic Uganda without discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression and sex characteristics; a world in which the marginalized people have the same rights and opportunities as anyone else; a world which values and respects differences in sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression and sex characteristics.

The Youth Empowerment Foundation is a registered community Based Organization established in 2014 to contribute to the fight for equal rights and opportunities for Key Population and other marginalized communities in Uganda.
The broader field of work of the organization is MSM and sex workers protection. The focus of operation is preventing MSM and Sex workers from being abuse exploitation and also preventing and responding to Gender Based Violence survivors. Key population are most vulnerable in Mukono and Uganda at large. Mukono is having population of over 807,923 people; therefore, the key population are always at danger of being exploited, sexuality harassed, rape and attacked. Therefore; the organization is working to protect the rights of most vulnerable communities, MSM, Sexual workers, and the LGBT community. We believe in social justice principles and intersectionality, and work with constant addressing of power relations and privileges.
